Menu Hard case – Made with matte lamination

Hard case, is one the finishing techniques use generally in book binding and finishing. It is mainly used to produce thickness >1mm. Here the rough boards or brown paper boards are used and the light weight printed sheet is struck or wrapped around as part the finishing process.

Generally the light weight sheets with lamination is used to give the finish. In short run we use self adhesive stickers to produce this and in volume production of more than 500 approx we will use hardcase binding machinery to do the production.

The application of hard case binding is been explored and utilized in many products other than books. Hardcase binding is used in invitation cards, folders, exam pads, menu cards, sweet boxes, gift box, etc.

The machines used are mostly mechanical with little electronics. But, the fully Automatic machines has electronics and programmable features with high production capacity.
